Summerland – Film
During World War II, an Englishwoman (Gemma Arterton) opens her heart to an evacuee after initially resolving to be rid of him in this moving journey of womanhood, love and friendship.
Written and directed by Olivier award-winning playright Jessica Swale.
Also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who will be known to the WFS audience from Amma Asante’s Belle which we screened in 2015.
